Introduction to Modular Knitting: The "No-Sew" Technique
Unlock the magic of modular knitting! In this two-part virtual workshop, you will learn how to knit and assemble beautiful geometric modules as you go. Because you work on one small piece at a time and pick up stitches to connect them, there is absolutely no sewing required. This is a fantastic way to combine shapes and use up leftover yarn from your stash.
Course Schedule & Curriculum
Both sessions include written instructions to support your live learning. Please expect roughly 1 to 2 hours of light knitting "homework" between our two sessions!
-
Part 1: The Mitred Square (Sat, 19th Sept, 2:00–4:00 pm BST): Learn to knit a mitred square in garter stitch using centred double decreases, pick up stitches to seamlessly connect new squares, and knit simple stripes.
-
Part 2: Advanced Shapes (Sat, 3rd Oct, 2:00–4:00 pm BST): Expand your skills by knitting outside-in squares, triangles, and shells. We will also cover professional edgings and how to chart your own modular garments.
Pricing & Special Beta Bonus
The total cost for both sessions is £40 per person - working out to just £10 an hour for expert, live tuition!
Beta Bonus: As a special thank you for joining our very first test run, you will also receive a £10 Yarn Atelier coupon code to use on your next yarn haul. There are no strings attached—the code will be emailed to you directly after the first class concludes and is valid for 6 months!
