For hand washing: fill a basin with 5 litres of cold to tepid water. Add 3–6 pumps (5–10 ml): 3 pumps / 5 ml for soft water or 6 pumps / 10 ml for hard water. Submerge the garment and leave to soak for 20 minutes. Gently squeeze out excess water without rubbing, wringing or excessive agitation. Roll in a clean towel and press out further moisture, then lay flat, hang or block to dry as appropriate. There is no need for repeated rinsing. Always follow the yarn or garment care instructions.
For machine washing: use an appropriate wool, delicate or gentle cycle and follow the yarn or garment washing and temperature instructions. Hand washing is recommended for particularly delicate, handmade or treasured garments.
