The Easter Hunt closed & we have a winner.

The Easter eggs have been found, the old-school cards have settled, and we have a winner!

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who spent their time scouring our shop. Seeing your entries fly into our inbox was a highlight for us. We drew the winner live on Instagram yesterday at 15:00, and today, we are thrilled to officially announce our lucky hunter.

And the winner is...

Congratulations to S.O.! You’ve snagged the £50 Yarn Atelier credit.

When we reached out to share the news, our winner sent back a response that perfectly captures the "beautiful struggle" of being a knitter. We loved it so much that we asked if we could share it with all of you.

"Well this was a delightful start to the day - thank you so very much for this generous gift! It was a fun contest too; who wouldn’t enjoy a little chocolate while shopping?!

And now I have a problem: which of your lovely yarns to try first…and how many is a good sampling…and what to make with them? It’s also a bit of an existential decision - is it more pleasurable to slow-shop and savour the anticipation of buying yarn through the year - or is it a go for the dopamine rush of e-rummaging through allll the pretties and shop fast n big? This is a totally magnificent problem to have. Thanks for this.

My Make Me Now list includes garments for my 94-year old mum, my daughter, my husband and me. I’ll now be shopping your beautiful site for yarns to make a soft Charlie Cardigan, a Knitting for Breakfast lacey T, a Seashore Skirt, a Jelly Top, and a Bannister Bold. That’ll hold my interest for a while and give me a variety of things to learn and play with."

A "Magnificent Problem" Indeed

We couldn't agree more with that "existential" shopping dilemma. Whether you are a "slow-savoured" shopper or a "dopamine-rush" rummager, there is no wrong way to build a stash!

We are especially excited to see those projects come to life—from the Charlie Cardigan to the Bannister Bold. Knitting for family (especially a 94-year-old mum!) is exactly what makes this craft so special.

Didn't win this time?

Check your inbox! We’ve sent a £5 "Thank You" gift card to every single person who successfully found the egg and entered the draw. It’s our way of making sure everyone gets a little bit of that "magnificent problem" of choosing their next favourite yarn. In case you didn't spot it just drop a line to support@yarnatelier.co.uk - we will sort it out for you.

Yarn Regards,

Roel & Aileen
